
Australia Post Global Settings
The Global Settings page is where you configure your Australia Post account connection, label defaults, shipping fallback values, checkout service names, and plugin-wide options.
To access this page, go to:
WooCommerce → Australia Post Centre → Settings
Account
The Account section is used to connect the plugin to your Australia Post account.
Account Type
Choose the Australia Post account type you use for shipping.
For example:
MyPost Business
Select the account type that matches your Australia Post account, as this affects the available services, credentials, and label workflow.
API Key
Enter your Australia Post API key.
You can get your API key from your Australia Post developer or business account.
Merchant Token
Enter your MyPost Business Merchant Token.
If you use MyPost Business, click Connect with MyPost to load your Merchant Token automatically.
You can also retrieve the Merchant Token manually from your MyPost Business account.
Click Show if you need to view the saved token.
Enable Contract Postage
Enable Contract Postage if you want the plugin to use your contracted Australia Post rates at checkout.
When disabled, the plugin uses the standard available rates for the selected account type.
Labels
The Labels section controls the default label layout, sender details, duties payer, and label options.
Label Layout
Choose how many labels should be printed per page.
For example:
A4 — 2 labels per page
Select the layout that matches your printer, label paper, or fulfilment workflow.
Labels Payment Method
Choose which payment method should be used when generating labels.
For example:
Charging Account
This is the account Australia Post will use to charge label purchases.
Business Name
Enter the sender name that should appear on labels.
This is usually your store name or registered business name.
Business Phone
Enter the phone number that should appear on labels.
This may be required for some international services.
Landed Costs Payer
Choose who should pay international duties, taxes, and fees.
Available options may include:
- Receiver pays duties and taxes
- Sender pays duties and taxes
Sender-paid options may require a Zonos Verified Account. Australia Post may reject unsupported payer choices for some destination countries.
Branded Labels
Enable Branded Labels to add Australia Post branding to the generated label.
Add Delivery Instructions
Enable Add Delivery Instructions to print customer delivery notes on the label.
Email Tracking Notifications
Enable Email Tracking Notifications if you want Australia Post to send tracking email notifications to customers.
Shipping Defaults
The Shipping Defaults section is used when product shipping data is missing.
These values help the plugin calculate shipping rates when products do not have complete weight or dimension information.
Shop Origin Postcode
Enter the postcode your orders are shipped from.
If this field is empty, the plugin may use your WooCommerce store postcode. If no postcode is available, it may use the default value shown in the field.
Default Package Weight
Enter the fallback package weight used when a product-level weight is missing.
The value is entered in kilograms.
For example:
0.5
Default Package Size
Enter the fallback package dimensions used when product-level dimensions are missing.
The values are entered in centimetres:
- Length
- Width
- Height
For example:
25 × 20 × 10
Signature Label
Enter the label text used for Signature on Delivery.
This text may be shown in checkout or label-related areas when signature service is available.
Extra Cover Label
Enter the label text used for Extra Cover.
This text may be shown in checkout or label-related areas when extra cover is available.
Remove GST
Enable Remove GST if you want the plugin to remove GST from returned Australia Post rates.
This removes GST from the shipping rates displayed by the plugin.
Enable Debug Mode
Enable Debug Mode to show diagnostic information to admins.
This is useful when troubleshooting shipping rates, account connection issues, or Australia Post API responses.
Debug messages are only shown to administrators.
Do not leave Debug Mode enabled unless you are actively troubleshooting an issue.
Custom Shipping Titles
The Custom Shipping Titles section lets you rename the shipping methods shown to customers on the cart and checkout pages.
This is useful if you want clearer or more customer-friendly service names.
Delivery times cannot be customized because they are constantly changed by Australia Post.
Contract Postage Products
Use this section to customize the checkout titles for domestic and international parcel services.
Domestic Options
You can rename domestic Australia Post services such as:
- Regular Post
- Express Post
- Courier Post
For example, you may rename Regular Post to:
Australia Post Regular Post
International Options
You can rename international Australia Post services such as:
- Economy Air
- Economy Sea
- Standard International
- Courier International
- Express International
For example, you may rename Standard International to:
Australia Post Standard International
Domestic Letters Options
The Domestic Letters Options section lets you customize the titles for domestic letter and envelope services.
Expand this section to edit the available domestic letter service names.
International Letters Options
The International Letters Options section lets you customize the titles for international letter services.
Expand this section to edit the available international letter service names.
Save Changes
After updating your settings, save the page to apply your changes.
