Pawtani builds its pet-specific details from ordinary WooCommerce global attributes. Create them under Products → Attributes, add their values under Configure terms, then add them to products on the product’s Attributes tab.
The attributes Pawtani looks for
| Attribute (slug) | Where it shows |
|---|---|
Pet (pet) |
On product cards above the title (for example Cat · Dog), as the Suits fact on the product page, and first in the filters, as chips |
Size (size) |
Filters (chips); variation dropdown |
Pack size (pack-size) |
Filters (chips); variation dropdown |
Flavour (flavor) |
Flavour fact; filters |
Life stage (life-stage) |
Life stage fact; filters (chips) |
Material (material) |
Material fact; filters |
Net weight (weight) |
Net weight fact |
The slug matters, the name doesn’t: you can call pet “Animal” or translate it. Every other attribute you use (for example Colour) still appears in the filters and under Details & care on the product page.
All of them are optional. A store that only sells for one kind of pet can leave Pet out; the cards and filters simply don’t show it.
Product facts
Under the price, the product page shows small fact labels from the product’s attributes: Suits, Life stage, Flavour, Material and Net weight. An attribute used for variations (for example a flavour the shopper chooses) isn’t repeated as a fact.

Details & care
WooCommerce’s Additional information tab is renamed Details & care. It lists every visible attribute. Put longer information, such as ingredients, feeding guidance or care instructions, in the product description, using your product’s own label.
Badges and ratings
- Sale appears when a product has a sale price.
- Out of stock comes from the product’s stock status.
- Star ratings appear only when a product has reviews.
Pawtani has no “best seller” or “popular” badges. The homepage’s Most loved section shows the products you star as Featured in Products → All Products.
