Does it need a page builder?
No. Pawtani is a block theme, so you edit it in the WordPress Site Editor.
The Site Editor shows my homepage as an empty page with just a title
Pawtani’s homepage, cart and checkout are built in their templates. Pawtani opens pages with their template shown, but if you hid it before, the editor remembers your choice: open the page’s options (⋮) and choose Show template.
A homepage card links to the shop, or is missing
The homepage links to categories by slug. Categories you don’t have are left out, and when you have none of them the cards link to the shop. Use the same slugs or change the links. See Where the links go.
Why doesn’t the “Suits” label show on my products?
It comes from a global attribute with the slug pet. See Pets, sizes, flavours and product facts.
Where is “Find the Right Fit”?
It appears only on products with a size guide, set on the product or its category. See Size & fit guides.
Does Pawtani add Subscribe & Save?
No. Pawtani has no subscription system of its own and never shows subscription options your store doesn’t offer. Install a subscription plugin and Pawtani styles its options. Customers can always reorder with Order again. See Repeat purchases.
Does the newsletter collect email addresses?
Only with a newsletter plugin. Paste its form shortcode on Appearance → Pawtani. Without one, no form is shown. Pawtani never stores subscriber data.
Does Pawtani show delivery times or free shipping?
No. Product pages say delivery options and costs are shown at checkout, from your WooCommerce shipping settings, and link to your shipping-returns page.
Will a starter site overwrite my products?
No. A starter only adds its own sample content, and Remove the starter site deletes only what it created. See Install a starter site.
Can I use the sample photos and illustrations in my store?
The product illustrations are made for Pawtani and the photographs are public domain (CC0); credits are in assets/images/CREDITS.txt. The sample products are fictional, so replace them with your own before you open your store.
