Does it need a page builder?
No. Formafern is a block theme, so you edit it in the WordPress Site Editor.
Why don’t my finishes show as swatches?
Swatches need a global attribute (Products → Attributes) used for variations. On product cards, the attribute must be one of Finish, Wood finish, Upholstery, Fabric, Colour, Glaze, Leg colour or Material. For colours, give each term a Swatch colour under Configure terms; terms without one show their name. See Finishes and swatches.
Why does the product page say Width for my product’s length?
Furniture is measured as width, depth and height, so Formafern shows WooCommerce’s Length as Width and its Width as Depth. Enter the side-to-side size as the length. See Dimensions.
Where does the delivery information come from?
From WooCommerce and your shipping settings. The product page says delivery options and costs are shown at checkout, and links to your page with the slug delivery-returns when you publish one. Lead times come from a product’s Lead time attribute. The theme never writes delivery, care or warranty information of its own.
The room links go to the shop
Rooms need a global Room attribute with archives enabled, and terms with the slugs living-room, bedroom, dining-room, home-office and outdoor. See Rooms.
How do I change the Shop the Room photograph?
Select the Shop the Room block in the Site Editor, click Replace photograph, then click the photograph to place hotspots and choose a product for each. See Shop the Room.
Does the newsletter collect email addresses?
Only with a newsletter service. With Jetpack Subscriptions or MailPoet active, the newsletter section uses their form; otherwise add your service’s form block. Formafern never stores subscriber data. See Newsletter.
Will the demo store overwrite my products?
No. It only adds its own items, labelled Formafern demo, and Remove the demo store deletes only those. See Import the demo store.
Can I change the colors and fonts?
Yes. Choose Japandi, Nordic Light or Modern Loft under Appearance → Editor → Styles, or change the palette and fonts there yourself. See Styles, colors and fonts.
Can I change the header and footer?
Yes. Select the header or footer in the Site Editor and choose Replace. There are 3 headers and 3 footers. See Headers, footers and menus.
Do I need the child theme?
Only for custom CSS, templates, patterns or PHP that should survive updates. Changes made in the Site Editor don’t need one. See Child theme.
Do I need a licence key for the theme to work?
No. Formafern works fully without a licence. An active licence enables one-click updates from the dashboard. See Activate your licence.
What happens when my licence expires?
The theme keeps working. You stop receiving updates until you renew.
