Five bookshops, ready to import
Import a demo store from Appearance → Foliowick with its books, genres, reading lists, journal articles, pages and menu. The four starters also apply their own style, header, footer and homepage. Removing the demo deletes everything it added and puts your previous design back. Every book, author and price is fictional sample content.

Features
Everything a bookshop needs
-
A homepage that reads like a bookshop
A hero of featured books, genre tiles, the bookshelf, the editor's pick, new arrivals, a literary interlude, reading lists, a featured author and the journal. Each section is its own pattern you can reorder, remove or reuse, and sections without store data stay hidden.
-
Covers that are never cropped
Catalog images keep each cover's own proportions instead of WooCommerce's square crop, and the cards stand covers on a shelf whatever their shape.
-
Author pages
Create an Author product attribute and every author gets a "Books by…" page, with their name on every book card. Write a biography in the author's description to feature them in "Meet the author". Searching for an author's name finds their books.
-
Book details and editions
Format, language, age group, ISBN, publisher, page count and the rest are ordinary product attributes: they appear under "Book details" and as catalog filters. Use variations for hardcover, paperback, ebook and audiobook editions.
-
Genres and reading lists
Product categories become genre tiles, illustrated with the category image. Product tags become reading lists, and the tag editors-pick chooses "The Editor's Pick".
-
Secondhand and rare copies
A Condition attribute shows under each title, and out-of-stock copies get a "Sold out" plate on the cover, so a sold single copy reads at a glance.
-
Forthcoming books
Tag a book forthcoming and set it to "On backorder": it gets a "Forthcoming" plate with its publication date, a "Pre-order" button and a note that it ships on publication.
-
WooCommerce's own blocks
The catalog, filters, book pages, cart, checkout and account all use WooCommerce's blocks, with a focused checkout header without navigation. Foliowick stores no data of its own, so you can switch themes without losing anything.
-
Edit everything in the Site Editor
Change the palette, fonts, templates, header and footer visually. Pick from 4 headers (classic masthead, library bar, bookplate, minimal) and 4 footers (deep forest, colophon, newsletter, minimal).
-
A setup checklist
Appearance → Foliowick tracks what your shop still needs: books, the Author attribute, an author biography, genre images, featured books, an editor's pick, reading lists, payment, shipping, your logo, the journal page, a newsletter and your licence.
-
Five demo stores
An independent bookshop, a children's bookshop, a rare and secondhand bookseller, an independent press and an ebook and audiobook shop, each with original cover art. The four starters also bring their own style, header, footer and homepage. Importing never overwrites your content, and removing the demo puts your previous design back.
-
Fonts served from your site
Literata, Instrument Sans and Vollkorn are bundled with the theme, with no external font service.
-
Motion that respects your visitors
Cover lifts and the "page turn" as sections scroll into view switch off for visitors who prefer reduced motion.
