## Choose a header or footer

1. Go to **Appearance → Editor** and select the header or footer on any template.
2. In the toolbar, choose **Replace**.
3. Pick a design and save.

### Headers

| Header | Layout |
| --- | --- |
| **Centred wordmark** (default) | A slim announcement strip, then search, the centred wordmark, account and shopping bag, with the menu centred beneath. Stays at the top; the announcement folds away while scrolling |
| **Wordmark left, menu inline** | The announcement strip, then one row: the wordmark on the left, the menu in the middle, and search, account and bag on the right. Suits a menu of five or six items; below 1280 px the menu moves into the drawer |
| **Minimal with menu drawer** | One quiet row with no announcement: a menu button that opens the full-screen menu, search, the centred wordmark, account and bag. The menu stays in the drawer at every width |

### Footers

| Footer | Layout |
| --- | --- |
| **Editorial with wordmark** (default) | Deep olive: a newsletter invitation (when a service is connected), shop, client care, house and legal links, social links and a large wordmark |
| **Centred** | A compact deep olive footer on one centred axis: the wordmark, your tagline, the newsletter form (when a service is connected), one row of links, social links and the legal line |
| **Minimal light** | A single ivory line under a hairline: the wordmark, client care and legal links, and the copyright |
| **Newsletter first** | A blush band inviting visitors to your newsletter (otherwise to the journal or the collection), then the deep olive footer |

## Edit the logo, menu and announcement

- **Logo:** select the **Site Logo** block in the header and upload your logo. Without one, the site title is set as a wordmark.
- **Menu:** select the **Navigation** block in the header to choose or edit a menu.
- **Announcement:** edit the announcement strip's text in the header, or delete it.
- **Social links:** add your profile URLs to the **Social Icons** block in the footer.

## Checkout header and footer

Checkout has its own quiet header (the wordmark and a way back to the bag) and footer (your privacy, terms and returns pages and the copyright). Edit them under **Appearance → Editor → Patterns**.
