# Dimensions, materials and care

Under the product's description, Formafern shows the furniture details in sections that open and close: **Dimensions**, **Materials and specifications**, **Care**, **Assembly**, **Warranty** and **Delivery and returns**. The first one is open. Every section comes from the product's own data, and a section without data is left out.

## Dimensions

Furniture is measured as width, depth and height, while WooCommerce stores length, width and height. Formafern labels them like this:

| Formafern shows | From WooCommerce's |
| --- | --- |
| **Width** (side to side) | Length |
| **Depth** (front to back) | Width |
| **Height** | Height |

Enter them under **Product data → Shipping → Dimensions**, in your store's units (**WooCommerce → Settings → Products**). The weight is shown too when the product has one.

When a product has all three dimensions, an **outline diagram** shows the overall size as a box. It's a guide to the space the piece takes up, not a drawing of its shape.

For variable products, the table and diagram follow the chosen option: give each variation its own dimensions where they differ.

### Other measurements

Add a custom attribute whose name ends in **Height**, **Width**, **Depth**, **Diameter** or **Length**, such as **Seat height** or **Seat depth**, and it's listed with the dimensions. Enter the value with its unit, for example `42 cm`.

## Materials and specifications

Every other visible attribute on the product is listed here, for example Material, Upholstery or Size, followed by the product's SKU as **Product code**. Attributes used for variations show *(choose above)*. The **Room** and **Style** attributes are left out, because they're for browsing.

## Care, assembly, warranty and lead time

Add a custom attribute (**Product data → Attributes → Add new**) with one of these names, and write the text as its value:

| Attribute name | Shown in |
| --- | --- |
| **Care** or **Care instructions** | Care |
| **Assembly** | Assembly |
| **Warranty** or **Guarantee** | Warranty |
| **Lead time**, **Dispatch**, **Delivery** or **Delivery time** | Delivery and returns |

Tick **Visible on the product page** for each one.

## Delivery and returns

The **Delivery and returns** section lists the product's lead time notes and says that delivery options and their costs for your address are calculated at checkout. When you publish a page with the slug `delivery-returns`, it links to it.

Beside the price, a short list repeats the lead time and the start of the assembly note, says that delivery options are shown at checkout, and links to the same page.

Formafern never states delivery costs, dates or returns terms of its own. They come from WooCommerce, your shipping settings and your own page.

## Change the details block

The details are the **Furniture details** block in the **Product story and specifications** section of the single product template. Select it in **Appearance → Editor → Templates → Single Product** to change:

- **Layout:** all the details as sections, or just the short delivery notes.
- **Outline diagram of the dimensions:** on or off.
- **Delivery and returns page (slug):** the page it links to.
