## Genres

Genres are your product categories. The homepage's **Browse by Genre** grid shows up to eight of them: categories with books and without sub-categories, most books first, each with its category image, name and number of books.

Give each category an image under **Products → Categories → edit a category → Thumbnail**, so its tile has artwork. Write a description too: it shows at the top of the genre's page.

## Reading lists

Reading lists are product tags. Tag books, for example `rainy-day-reads`, and the homepage's **Curated reading lists** shows your four biggest lists as magazine features, each with a fan of its books and a link to the list's page.

Give each tag a description under **Products → Tags**: it appears with the list on the homepage and on its page.

The tags `editors-pick`, `staff-picks` and `forthcoming` have their own jobs, so they aren't shown as reading lists.

## The Editor’s Pick

**The Editor's Pick** on the homepage presents one book like the lead review in a literary magazine. It shows the newest book tagged **`editors-pick`**. Without one, it uses the newest featured book.

## Featured books

Mark books as featured on **Products** (the star column). Their covers form the window display in the homepage hero. Up to five look best.
