## Choose a header or footer

1. Go to **Appearance → Editor → Patterns** (or open any template) and select the header or footer.
2. In the toolbar, choose **Replace**.
3. Pick a design and save.

### Headers

| Header | Layout |
| --- | --- |
| **Header** (default) | Announcement bar, then a rounded bar with the logo, menu, search, account, bag and a shop button |
| **Centered boutique header** | Announcement bar, then the logo centered like a sweet-shop sign, with the shop button and tools on either side and the menu on its own row |
| **Minimal header** | One quiet row with no announcement bar: logo, menu, search, account and bag. It turns into a floating pill once the page scrolls |
| **Candy stripe header** | A bold strawberry band with a candy-cane stripe edge: logo, menu, tools and the shop button |

Every header stays at the top as the page scrolls and keeps the phone menu.

### Footers

| Footer | Layout |
| --- | --- |
| **Footer** (default) | Wavy-topped cocoa footer with Shop, Help and Visit columns, social links, legal links and an oversized wordmark |
| **Light footer** | A soft strawberry-tint footer with the same columns, social links and a smaller wordmark |
| **Minimal footer** | One calm row: site title, a few links and social icons, then copyright and legal links |
| **Footer with newsletter** | The cocoa footer with a sign-up panel on top. See [The homepage](https://wpruby.com/knowledgebase/candy-shop-homepage/#newsletter) for collecting email addresses |

The footer's **Shop** column links to your Gummies, Chocolate, Sour candy and Gift boxes categories when they exist (by their slugs `gummies`, `chocolate`, `sour-candy` and `gift-boxes`). Your store address from **WooCommerce → Settings → General** appears in the **Visit** column. Social icons show once you add your profile URLs to the **Social Icons** block.

## Edit the logo, menu and announcement

- **Logo:** select the **Site Logo** block in the header and upload your logo. Without one, the site title shows with a little lollipop.
- **Menu:** the header shows your newest navigation menu. Select the **Navigation** block in the header to choose or edit a menu.
- **Announcement:** the default and centered headers start with an announcement bar. Edit its text in the header, or delete it.

## Checkout header and footer

The checkout page uses its own focused header and footer, without the navigation, so shoppers aren't pulled away while paying. Edit them under **Appearance → Editor → Patterns → Header** (*Checkout header*) and **Footer** (*Checkout footer*).
