## Does it need a page builder?

No. Candy Shop is a block theme, so you edit it in the WordPress Site Editor.

## Does the theme add ingredients or allergen information?

No. You enter ingredients, allergens, nutrition and storage for each product, exactly as printed on your packaging. Empty fields are hidden, and the theme never adds food, allergen, dietary or health information of its own. ## How do the “Best seller” and “New” badges work?

Add the product tag `best-seller` to show the Best seller badge. The New badge appears on products published in the last 30 days. See [Badges](https://wpruby.com/knowledgebase/candy-shop-products/#badges).

## Why don’t my product pages show flavor or dietary highlights?

The highlights come from product attributes named **Flavor** and **Dietary** (slugs `flavor` and `dietary`). Create them under **Products → Attributes** and add them to your products. See [Set up your products](https://wpruby.com/knowledgebase/candy-shop-products/).

## A homepage card links to the shop instead of a category

The homepage links to categories by slug (`gummies`, `chocolate`, `sour-candy`, `gift-boxes`, `lollipops`) and falls back to the shop page. Use those slugs or change the links. See [Where the links go](https://wpruby.com/knowledgebase/candy-shop-homepage/#where-the-links-go).

## Can the newsletter collect email addresses?

Not on its own: the **Join the candy club** button links to the account page. Replace it with your email marketing plugin's form block. See [Newsletter](https://wpruby.com/knowledgebase/candy-shop-homepage/#newsletter).

## Can I change the colors and fonts?

Yes. Choose Strawberry Milk, Chocolate Box, Pastel Party, Sherbet or Snack Bar under **Appearance → Editor → Styles**, or change the palette and fonts there yourself. See [Styles, colors and fonts](https://wpruby.com/knowledgebase/candy-shop-styles/).

## Can I change the header and footer?

Yes. Select the header or footer in the Site Editor and choose **Replace**. There are 4 headers and 4 footers. See [Headers, footers and menus](https://wpruby.com/knowledgebase/candy-shop-headers-and-footers/).

## Will a starter site overwrite my products?

No. A starter only adds its own sample content, and **Remove starter site** deletes only what it created. See [Import a starter site](https://wpruby.com/knowledgebase/candy-shop-starter-sites/).

## Do I need a licence key for the theme to work?

No. Candy Shop works fully without a licence. An active licence enables one-click updates from the dashboard. See [Activate your licence](https://wpruby.com/knowledgebase/candy-shop-licence/).

## What happens when my licence expires?

The theme keeps working. You stop receiving updates until you renew.
